Church went quite well today. It was really nice to see everyone again after being out the past couple weeks. One with sick kids and one with a yard full of snow. Scott still had to shovel and push from behind to get us out this morning, but other than that we didn't have any problems. It is now snowing AGAIN, but Scott doesn't have to work tomorrow and he's driving us to the appt. with the lawyer. The kids were actually quite good for all the services. I was concerned that they might be really wiggly and out of practice after the past couple weeks, but there weren't any disturbances and no take outs.
NOW, for the little girl's agenda. She started it a bit before Christmas. Elyssia decided that she wants me to have twins next. She told me that she was going to pray for them. I laughingly asked her to wait until March to start praying because I didn't want to be sick when we went to Georgia. I figured that she would forget about it. Nope, couldn't be farther from the truth. She has mentioned getting a bigger vehicle, because I told her we could only fit one more car seat. Then she was trying to convince me to buy some really cute newborn outfits at the thrift shop yesterday. Then today she brought me a shopping list. She said that she was going to give it to Daddy so that he could pick up groceries when I started getting sick. She said that I needed to start making lots of meals to put in the freezer so that they would have plenty of food when I got sick. Then I heard her talking to Kiersten, "You're such a cutie, just wait, you're going to have a new brother and sister this Christmas!" WOW! She probably has names picked out too:). I guess I should start getting ready for some major morning sickness and buy tents, because I'll probably need it when I get as big as a barn! Seriously, this child is very determined and we know that God answers her prayers. Kiersten is proof! I'm VERY thankful for Kiersten and wouldn't trade her for anything. I'm just not sure how I feel about twins right now. I think Scott's family might disown us, due to us being crazy:)))). On the good days I think about another one and on the loud, crazy, hard to concentrate kind of days I think, Please not right now... Life is full of surprises, but the Lord just might be preparing us ahead of time, if it does come to pass:). I can at least be thankful that Elyssia gave me a bit of warning before she started praying. I guess we'll have to make sure we get all our traveling in this year. I have this funny mental image of those women from the Ozarks during the Depression. A baby on each hip, one trailing on the apron. Another one eating dirt, while the other two terrorize the farm animals. Laughing right now, maybe not later:)))). The joy of the Lord is our strength was the topic of Scott's sermon this afternoon. Come what may, we can always find joy in what the Lord has done for us. The things that HE saved us from here on earth and those things to come in the future. In the midst of all other things, that joy is ours to claim and draw strength from. Have a great rest of the day everyone!
LOL, tell her to start praying for a husband for me while she's at it! That's really funny and determiniation is definitely a characteristic of the oldest child, I should know.
