The creative juices are flowing again...

Amazing how eliminating one thing can create so much time for other productive activities:).  Here is a sample:

The painting I did at Christmas.

I got a pad of painting paper to practice on.

Starting to make cards again.

Lots of fun:)

Now I just need to start sending them to people that have babies.

Or sell them at Farmer's Market.

The inside left blank for someone else's creative, loving mind:).

Painting is something that I didn't do as a child.  Not sure why. My dad was a really good artist, but he mostly did sketches.  His grandfather was an AWESOME painter and taught my dad to draw from the time he was a little boy.  I have several of my dad's drawings that my Grandma passed on to me.  It would be nice to write a book about him someday and include them, but that is probably just a dream:).  The above paintings look childish to me, but I think I'm okay with that.  A person has to start somewhere.  It's really just another way to be creative and work on something during the winter that the kids won't mess up, like the house after I clean it. Cards are fun to create and there is always plenty of need for them around here. The price of cards is crazy, especially considering that a person can make at least a dozen cards for less than $10.  Once the supplies are well stocked, it's even less.  I owe my great stash to kind family members that have blessed me with supplies for Birthdays and Christmas.  So, off to chase the roaring children... Kiersten was after Caleb last I saw!

  1. I don't know about childish - I like your paintings. There's an innocence and a joyousness about them. Keep it up!

You're making me want to go off FB too ...
