I wonder if we'll have to pay higher taxes now that several businesses have been added on the property. Yesterday was the library, today was:
The Family Clinic |
1st patient |
The waiting room. |
Sad little boy with a broken arm. |
Patient with stitches(fake, of course) |
A band aid makes it better! |
Baby and her hurt leg. |
Next we had:
The Toy Store with Garrison and Caleb as co-owners. |
Every toy store needs a crazy assistant! |
This is only a quarter of the toy selection. It was pretty well stocked:) |
How did this one get here?
That explains a lot! |
We often see this when we wake up in the morning. Now we know why:))). |
Art project for the day:
I painted their names on pieces of cardboard, then cut them out. |
Practicing to do them on wood someday. |
We chose 3 names with quite a few letters, so we'll save up to buy the wood ones:). |

Featured Stories Of The Day...
"My Popgun"
By: Caleb Holloway
I found the popgun in the toy box. It's red and brown. I can pretend to shoot animals. I can't shoot elephants cause maybe they will die. I can throw my puzzle at them. I can shoot the wolf and coyote. I'll take Garrison and lunch with me. I eat the coyote all up. It's yummy! I think it tastes like meat. I go away in the far far hill and I sleep. What that I hear when I'm sleeping? A bee! I shoot the bee and eat him all up! Yummy! It tastes like bee:).
--- The End---
I was laughing so hard I could hardly get it written down. For those that know Caleb, food is a high priority on his list. He may not be hungry, but he wants to have food close at all times, just in case he is:) He LOVES meat and the idea of him thinking a bee tastes yummy makes me laugh every time:)
"My Dinosaur Rex"
By: Garrison Holloway
Mummy gave me a toy dinosaur named Rex. He's a dispenser(Pez) and he can't talk. He hops up and down and holds candy. He doesn't roar because he can't talk.
One time I had an adventure with my dispenser. It was dark outside, so we turned on all the lights. I saw a bear so I ran inside and got Daddy. He came outside and shot the bear! We brought it inside and cooked the meat. We made coats, hats, warm boots and warm snow pants from the fur.
~ The End~
"Cleaning Out The Playhouse"
I went outside today. The weather was very good and I went to the playhouse. I cleaned out the snow. Same was out there and was "wrestling" with the cat. The cat got a bloody nose. I saw this reddish thing on its' nose, it looked like blood. Then I cleaned off the porch with my snow shovel. After that I went back inside.

Supper(Trying out something new)...
First time using the Pastasaurus! Yummy Fresh sauce... |
The one on the left is Brown Rice, Gluten Free Pasta. I couldn't tell a real difference in taste. |
Kiersten LOVES Spaghetti! She had two helpings and was looking for more. |
Family Devotions was on how the Gibeonites deceiving the Israelites. They told them that they were from far away and that their clothes, food, etc had been new when they started out. They wanted to make a peace pact with the Israelites. The Israelites promised not to attack them, but later found out that they had lied and that they lived close by. There was nothing they could do about it at that point. They had given their word and they couldn't break it.
Scott dressed in "old clothes". |
Caleb(Joshua) was supposed to ask, "where are you from?" Instead he kept answering the question. "I from here, I from the country!" It was funny and we finally went on with the rest of the story. |
Moldy bread(not really, Kiersten stole it later:). |
Old bottle. |

Keep checking back, as we'll be adding several new businesses to our little town. We're planning to open a cafe, art gallery, barber shop, dairy and grocery store... We're like a runaway train now that we've started:) I'd give the old saying "somebody stop this train and let me off!", but we're having too much fun and I don't want off:). Til next time!
YAY GF pasta, one day if I get to come up again it's good to know I won't starve;) LOL
ReplyDeleteI enjoy hearing all about your adventures! :) And the barrettes you posted recently were so cute!!! How did you make them? Was it ribbon glued to them?? I only have 1 girl and she won't really wear barrettes! Wish she did!
ReplyDeleteHey Lora,
ReplyDeleteThe ones I make start as metal clips. I cut strips of ribbon and use a hot glue gun gun to attach the ribbon and other little doo-dads. I put a bit of cupboard liner stuff on the inside because our girls hair is so fine. It keeps it from sliding out. I had to find something because both girls hair wants to naturally fall in their eyes. If Jorie likes to wear her hair in a ponytail, you can always slip one in on top. She'd hardly know it was there:).
