Mission Accomplished!

Well, today was the culmination of a lot of planning.  There was some digging and pushing to get the vehicles out, but we got an early start, so it wasn't too much of a problem.  The baby shower luncheon went really well.  There were 8 ladies and 5 children.  The focus of the challenge was on "The influence of mothers".  Everyone seemed to like it, but I can't speak for all of them.  This is the first baby shower that I've been in charge of planning.  The preparation for it all was a blessing, even though some things were cutting it close, due to weather challenges.  Our ladies are such a blessing to me.  They are an encouragement and always seem ready and willing to pitch in with food, fellowship and clean up.  There aren't any pics of me, because I was the only one that brought a camera:).  Here is a sample of our Baby shower luncheon:

The delicious cake.
We had a couple errands to run after we finished at the church, so we didn't get home until close to 5.  Shortly after we arrived home our neighbor came over to plow our yard.  It is such an amazing blessing the way others have helped us this winter.  Yesterday was long and quite difficult trying to help the family move their things into storage, but it's nice to have that all completed as well.  Here is a picture of a neighbors' kindness:
The evening has passed by pretty quickly. It kind of feels like a Friday with all that's transpired, but we're ready for church tomorrow.  The unexpected blessing of leftovers has supplied our portion of food for the potluck tomorrow:).  The weather was beautiful today at +3, but the wind is howling now.  Praying it doesn't blow the snow back into the yard!
Here are a couple pics of the kids just enjoying the freedom of play:

All for me?

Look Mama!

Caleb was showing me a rock that Garrison put a band-aid on:).

Our delicious apple crisp dessert was just the right ending for a wonderful day!
Well, that about wraps it up for our day.  We had a devotion on Samuel anointing David to be the next king.  Garrison wanted to be David, but really didn't like when he got water poured on his head(the anointing part of the story).  Anyway, I think I'm going to try to get to bed earlier tonight.  These days with no naps and late night blogging are starting to catch up with me.  Have a wonderful day in the Lord's House tomorrow!
