Cookies anyone?

Okay, so there aren't any cookies left right now:). I baked a lot, but seemed to have one of my worst baking experiences ever. First, I discovered that I was out of parchment paper! If you haven't used parchment paper, you've gotta give it a try. I haven't baked without it in about 7 years. I needed to make cookies though, so I started without it. The cookies just slide off the parchments paper, but they weren't sliding off the non stick cookie sheets. Some were breaking and I had to pick out the good ones to give to the policemen and fireman. Then Caleb got into them and broke about half of the good ones. I had one tray ready to go in and it slid off the counter! Yikes, my family could eat those, but the choices for give away ones was getting smaller and smaller. Now I remember why I usually put the cookies straight into the freezer. This year there's half the freezer space and most of it was already taken. So, on to the next mission. Tomorrow is Ladies Bible Study and we're doing a cookie exchange. I'm way ahead of the game this time. I have TWO things of parchment paper and a little room in the freezer:). I'm really looking forward to fellowship with the ladies and going through the lesson with them. I don't know what people do when they don't go to church every Sunday. This is the first one I've missed in a long time and I miss it a lot! For those of you who are wondering, I've forgiven Caleb for the cookies too:) It'll be a good story to tell to him when he's older though. We love telling the story about one of my brothers stealing cookie dough and being caught on Jason's hidden camera. Good times...

  1. Tomorrow is our cookie exchange also! I'm on sherri's team for the Dec. I'm trying some new cookies this year and hoping they work out.
