1st Family Pic with Lillian
We had several challenges in taking this picture. The kids did pretty good at "trying" to look at the camera. The sun made it challenging to keep our eyes open. The kids were tired after church and a couple were a wee bit crabby. So, I'm thankful that we got a fairly nice family picture out of all the ones that were attempted:).
So thankful for this special day that we, as Christians, set aside to remember our Lord's death, burial, and especially his Resurrection from the dead. i am so thankful for my salvation and look forward to the day that we will be with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!

A pretty good first week...
The in-laws headed home on Monday and Scott headed into town for 1/2 a day of work. That's usually the way we do it. Jump right into it with both feet:). We didn't attempt to do a full day of homeschool at the same time though, so it was a bit more relaxing. I'm really thankful that we taught the kids how to do the laundry. It's a blessing not to have to try to keep up with that and adjust to the new little one's schedule.
Tuesday we added a bit of school work.
Wednesday we added a bit of baking and a visit to our friends at the Hutterite Colony.
Thursday we attempted a full baking day and it went quite well. Math and History were the main focus, with some audio books in between.
Friday morning we headed into town to get 5 passport pictures taken. I needed one for Lillian, Garrison and myself in order to travel to Georgia and the other 2 will need theirs for our family vacation later this year. The photographer was super fast and we were there less than half an hour and back home in less than an hour and half from our departure time. The kids enjoyed a movie night with Scott while I enjoyed a quiet Reading time and extra snuggles with Lillian.
A couple hours from now Lillian will officially be 1 week old. I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like time seems to go faster and faster the older I get and no matter how slow we try to take it some days we can't slow it down.
The sun is out and melting our last two snowfalls. Looking forward to the kids getting some play time outside this afternoon.
Happy Saturday!!!

Lillian Faith Holloway
Some may wonder why I didn't specifically announce that we were expecting on here. I may share those reasons later one, but for now I will just share a couple of pictures of the amazing little blessing that arrived on Saturday. We are so thankful for the Lord's hand in her delivery and look forward to sharing that story in another post.

Looking for the Sunshine...
We are honestly very spoiled around here. We have the sun shining the majority of the winter and it's really felt like spring lately! However, the past two days have been overcast, drizzly and a bit on the colder side. I am very much looking forward to the return of the sun, especially since it means the kids can spend more time playing outside. They are having a Nature/History Homeschool Day, but it's all inside. Elyssia is impatiently waiting for "many things", one of which is the Chronicles of Narnia audio cds. I told her that she could put in her order to borrow them again this month, but apparently it's taking too long:))).
Some friends in town called the other day and asked Scott to pick up something on his next trip in. It turned out to be Hot Cross Buns from a popular bakery in Saskatoon. Apparently they are sold out each day before noon, due to an amazing reputation. We don't spend much time in the city, which means we had never encountered this wonderful bakery. Scott and the kids had no problem polishing most of them off over the past couple days. I've enjoyed the smells when they toast them, but I'll admit that I didn't eat any. I've been avoiding most bread the past couple weeks, which is kind of unfortunate timing, but necessary for my digestive system right now. Looking forward to eating normally again in the next week or so:).
The school year has flown by fairly quickly this year, in spite of different distractions. The kids have less than a quarter of their work to complete and we look forward to lots of sunny play days in May! That's about it for now. Looking forward to sharing more interesting posts in the not too distant future:).
